Guitarists Ben Sher and Frank Kilkelly team together in this exciting new group. The World Jazz Guitar Duo incorporates a wide variety of musical traditions: Gypsy jazz, Brazilian choro and baiao, Irish traditional and Indian music, creating an original an exciting new take on the classic jazz guitar duo format.

. . .from Kinvara Ireland is a wonderfully eclectic jazz guitarist who concentrates on the acoustic side of jazz guitar. Frank is known for his work in several genres. He is the known as one of the leading performers and scholars of traditional Irish music on guitar. He has written several books and performs regularly. He’s also known for his work performing gypsy jazz with the Cafe Orchestra, a group in the Django Reinhart/Stefan Grappelli tradition.
Combining all of these influences, the World Jazz Guitar Duo takes you through a musical adventure of different styles and moods. Be sure to catch them on tour May/June 2019!

. . . an Associate Professor at Berklee College of music, is a unique guitarist who bless his mastery of the mainstream jazz tradition of Grant Green, Wes Montgomery and Pat Martino, with a love of Brazilian music, and other traditions. Ben has four critically acclaimed recordings on BGI Records, that feature some of the finest Brazilian musicians Luciana Suza, Duduka daFonseca, and American jazz musicians Kenny Barron, Fred Hersch, Donny McCaslin. Ben has also been involved with acoustic jazz and the avant grade, appearing on two recordings with avant-swing group Ball-In-the-Jack on Knitting Factory Records
