The "Choro Novo" Guitar Quartet

I'm pleased to announce the formation of a new group, the "Choro Novo Guitar Quartet". This is a group of myself and three other outstanding guitarists. The music is my arrangements of compositions in the Brazilian and Latin traditions by composers such as Pixinguinha, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Granados and Joao Donato. The group plays in a unique style, blending the intimacy and contrapuntal style of chamber quartet, with the excitement and spontaniety of jazz improvisation.
